Special days for prayer and fellowship in Utzenfeld
22nd - 26th April 2017
We are less than 500 miles from southern England in the south west corner of Germany approximately 30 miles from the borders of both France and Switzerland.
Germany’s Black Forest is approximately the size of Wales and our village of Utzenfeld lies in the more mountainous southern region in the upper reaches of the Wiese Valley.
The region’s highest mountain is the Feldberg 4800 ft, where our Wiese river has it’s source. On the northern side of the Feldberg, one hour by bus from our front door, is the touristic lake and small town of Titisee. Our closest cities are Freiburg, (20 miles) and Basel in Switzerland (30 miles). All guests receive a ‘guest card’ which gives free use of Black Forest buses and trains, local open-air swimming pools and deductions on mountain chairlifts and other facilities.
In Haus Barnabas we have five double/twin ensuite guest rooms which can also be used as single rooms as required and a family room for four. For larger numbers we have access to additional rooms within easy walking distance in the village.
We offer rooms with breakfast and an optional evening meal and our 7-day seasonal package prices which include an evening meal and a simple midday lunch on Sundays are excellent value.
Through contacts locally we can also find and book self-catering accommodation on request.
Our closest airport is Basel/Mulhouse from where we are happy to meet guests.
Air travel to Basel
We are a family run Christian guest house for individual and family holidays with opportunities for daily devotions and fellowship.
Our village of Utzenfeld is easily accessible and an excellent
and FREE bus service gives access to numerous places of interest and activities for all ages groups.
Autumn is also a beautiful time in the Black Forest.
October, the ‘golden month’ often gives us many beautiful sunny days and ideal conditions for walking.
But winter too is beautiful and the ski slopes of the Feldberg (4800ft)
are only 30 min away with a free bus service!
Why not come for Christmas?
